There Is A Light And It Never Goes Out

As I was putting together this blog and trying to come up with a name/title, I remembered this photo of the four of us at the beach in Florida (along with 3 other amazing idiots who I equally love in word even though in deed I ghosted them out of the picture). To me the photo is an homage to our years in Florida and how we all became friends in that sun-soaked, fucked-up state. As I kept staring at us (fully clothed bafoons at the beach mind you) I thought of that Crimpshrine song "Tomorrow" when they start singing "the sun'll come out..." which in turn reminded me of that HORRIBLE cover of "I Can See Clearly Now" from Screeching Weasel's My Brain Hurts (the only album I actually like by them; Josh wanted me to mention that he even deleted the song from the album). I'll admit that the title is extremely cheesy but it reminds me of growing up in Florida listening to one of my favorite punk bands. I added the bold accent to WILL because it felt even more feel-good like a bad self-help book or a made-for-TV movie (wink, wink) about 4 retards driving around the US on a "special" bus. I thought it also might keep our parents from likening us to that poor soul from Into The Wild or at least increase their chances of appearing on Oprah when we accidentally drive off a cliff in Colorado. Speaking of which, the only other working title that seemed appropriate was "There Is A Light And It Never Goes Out."
